Theology vs. Jesus

the·ol·o·gy
[thee-ol-uh-jee]

noun, plural the·ol·o·gies.
1.
the field of study and analysis that treats of God and of God's attributes and relations to the universe; study of divine things or religious truth; divinity.

What good does it do the hungry, the homeless, the abused, the depressed, the lost souls in need for us to spend hours a day studying God's "nature"? Mathew 25:45 "And he wi...ll answer, 'I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.' Could not those many hours a day be spent better? (I too am guilty). What about that $20-30 we spend on going out for pizza or a movie ...couldn't that be skipped to buy things like peanut butter, water, canned food, etc for someone who is hungry? We give our money to the church and let a group (or so we think) do what they feel needs to be done. However, if each of us spent $10 a week on nonperishable food and gave it to someone who was hungry...someone who's homeless...someone out of work..etc, we wouldn't be seeing as many problems. And we wouldn't see so many hate the term "christian"
